 My dreams are now crushed.Okay, when I first heard a movie was being made out of the Dragonlance books, I was a tad excited. Enjoyed the novels, and given what was done with Lord of the Rings movies, I think I had reason to be hopeful. Then I find out that the movie will be animated. Ehh, well, something good can still be made given some of the decent names they got to do the voice acting. Michael Rosenbaum, Kiefer Sutherland, Lucy Lawless, Phil LaMarr, Michelle Trachtenberg, not too shabby of a list. So I still had some hopes. Well, then it's reveled that the movie will be direct to DvD. Never a good sign. Yet still, like a fool, I dreamed.

Holy shit, I didn't know people still used that art style in animation!
I would be fucking psyched to see that movie. It looks like all the cartoons I watched as a kid.... except the CGI dragons of course... |

So Keifer's gonna be the voice of RAISTLIN, huh? Sure hope it works out well, then.
All I know is they'd BETTER get Tasslehoff right. I've waited 16-17 years to see a kender onscreen, they'd damn well better not disappoint me. |
