"He's landed."

The dark-skinned man clicked the phone shut as he entered the room. He took one of the seats that were arrayed around the large table, between two that were conspicuously empty. Others were likewise unoccupied.

A large man sat at the head of the table spun his chair around and pointed a remote at the plasma screen on one wall. The image that flicked instantaneously into life was of an almost deserted airport terminal. The man stared at the screen for a moment then turned back to the table. "Then where is he, José?"

José already had his phone out again and was speaking quickly to someone. After a few moments, he held the handset away from his ear and addressed the large man. "Apparently he didn't take his private plane."

The image on the TV changed, showing different parts of the airport from hijacked security cameras.

"Does he suspect?" the large man asked, scanning each scene.

"No, there was a problem with his plane. Something minor," he added, before his boss turned ‘round again.

The images stopped switching, showing a busy baggage claim. Bam was easy to spot; in addition to his height, his large size seemed to intimidate people and there was a large space around him.

"Is everything ready? The driver is aware of the change of plan?" The large man's gaze didn't leave the screen.

"He wasn't very willing, but it's been...dealt with." José pulled at his collar slightly. He could feel a bead of sweat trickling down his neck. This sort of thing wasn't his area but when the man they were looking at in the terminal removed the man that normally filled the chair next to him, he'd had to fill in. Hopefully when this situation with Bam had been resolved he could go back to organising shipping for the syndicate. It was less likely to get him killed.

A small, balding man leant forward and peered closely at the screen. "Is he talking to someone?" The other men around the table, uniformly clad in grey business suits with open-collared, pastel shirts, did the same, trying to get a closer look at Bam's activities.

"Frederico, can you zoom in?" the boss asked.

The camera zoomed in, the image blurring momentarily, before Frederico was able to sharpen it. Bam's massive frame now almost filled the whole screen.

"He is talking to somebody..." The boss leant back in his chair, his fingers steepled. "Can we pick up any sound?"

"I'm afraid not, boss," Frederico called from the corner where he sat with his laptop which was connected to the plasma screen with a series of long wires across the carpeted floor.

The boss pressed his index fingers to his pursed lips as the group watched the wrestler talking to himself, wondering about the mental condition of the man against whom they were plotting revenge.

Bam frowned, and then stepped forward, revealing a small brunette woman who had been invisible behind his massive bulk.

"Who is she?" the boss demanded, turning his chair back to the table. The men sat there, starting blankly at him. At the lack of response, he answered his own question. "So she's no one. Insignificant." He paused. "If she gets in the way, she can be removed." He nodded in José's direction. "Let those who need to know, know."

José whipped out his phone again and dialled a number. Switching to English, he related the boss's order. As he hung up, he watched the man who was the object of their collective fury walk off screen. The image switched to a different camera as Frederico trailed Bam. Suddenly, the huge man stopped walking and stared straight into the camera. José knew Bam couldn't see him, but the stare still sent a shiver down his spine.
