Angle of the Year
3rd. MacDonald elected President
(DeSean/TCW Creative)
Since his election, Senator Stephen MacDonald has been strongly outspoken against wrestling, in particular the TCW promotion, targeting it's 'Satanic and anti-American themes'. He claimed the AntiChrist himself resided in TCW and used this as his political platform to become President. Since being elected, he has driven TCW out of America, placing all employees on the FBI's list, and has gone to great lengths to attack the AntiChrist, Darkness. In secret, he has connections with the Abyss, whom he is working with to eliminate their enemies in exchange for political power.

2nd. Who killed Crazy Hobo??
(Thommy H/Crazy Hobo)
Suddenly, at FWRFed Defiance in November, Crazy Hobo tragically turned up dead. FWRFed employees and fans were shocked at the tragedy, and all signs pointed to foul play. Immediately an investigation began, Waylon Denning was hired to find the culprit. So far, he has interrogated 2GooD, William 'The Future' Shamrock, Red Barker, Odin King, Mohawk, and most Brent Powers. Who would be heinous enough to murder the Crazy Hobo? The truth finally came out when Waylon Denning himself admitted to killing the Crazy Hobo...no...he was the Crazy Hobo, and, as he laid out Powers and exposed his true identity to the world, he declared that FWRFed was about to change, in one of the most shocking, and effective twists and heel turns wrestling has ever seen.

1st. FWRFed vs. TCW/Indigo Saga

(FWRFed and TCW creative, plus all wrestlers/feuders)
After Commissioner Brent Powers took over FWRFed, he went to great lengths to reshape it in his own image, which included firing Indigo and stripping her of the FWRFed World Championship. Indigo would not be seen on television until June 4th, where Valerie Stern made the surprise announcement on TCW Friction that Indigo had signed with the company. Powers quickly threw fuel on the fire when he accused TCW employees of attacking one of his wrestlers and challenged Stern to a crossover match. Stern's response was an all out challenge at the next PPV, an unprecented joint Road to Glory featuring stars from both federations, and the winner would have a shot at the championship of their choice. Through 27 other wrestlers, Indigo came out on top, and, thanks to Stern wanting someone to end Darkness' championship reign in TCW, ended up fighting for both the 411fed/ECF Unified World Heavyweight Championship and the FWRFED World Heavyweight Championship. Though her battle with Darkness ended in a losing effort at ENDGAME, she defeated Gabriel Bathory at Heatwave to reclaim the title she never lost, coming back from the brink to become the reigning FWRFed World Champion and certainly cementing herself as one of the top stars in the industry.

3rd. "The Future" Revolutiontron (Thommy H)

2nd. Road to Glory promo (Thommy H)

1st. ENDGAME 2008 Promo (Thommy H)

Feud of the Year
3rd. Freya vs. Jason Dante (ENDGAME 2008)
Jason Dante, having taken hold of the Promethean Ring after recovering it, fell victim to it's lure of power, becoming a demi-god whenever he wore it. His true nature amplified, he turned on Darkness and declared him an enemy, becoming paranoid of all who threatened his newfound power. Selenia, desperate to get Dante back, asked Freya, the previous owner of the Ring, to take it from him. Lucifer intended to take the Ring back and eliminate both Dante and Freya, plunging them into a deadly hallucination created by the Dreadlord, while Novamori went after Dante's wife...revealing himself to be Lilith, intending on taking her back...

2nd. Darkness vs Indigo (ENDGAME 2008)
After eliminating Darkness in Road to Glory, Indigo received two title shots...one for Darkness' Unified World Championship. Fans from both camps would be at the event...Darkness' 'Darklings' and Indigo's 'Rainbow Warriors'. However, this was not as innocent as it seemed. The more die-hard 'Darklings' had formed a cult, and attacked Rainbow Warriors, sparking a violent gang war. It became far worse when the Ordo Draco themselves became involved, attacking Darklings and framing the Rainbow Warriors for it, in an attempt to reduce Darkness' fan support and give Indigo the edge she needed to win the championship at ENDGAME. Such a victory would also have dire consequences for Darkness, and the entire world...

1st. Stephen Hawthorne vs. Matt Strikmore (ENDGAME 2008)
Stephen Hawthorne had returned after a long hiatus, and Valerie Stern, in her efforts to drive Darkness and the NHFCers out of TCW, made a point of attempting to sway him onto her side by offering him a championship match on the biggest show of the year...against the Transcontinential Champion, Matt Strikmore. It was clear before the match that Hawthorne was torn between loyalty to his former stable-mates and his friend (and opponent), Strikmore. Both sides clashed with each other verbally several times. Eventually, both opponents agreed to put all outside influences aside, and focus on stealing the show at ENDGAME, and arguably succeeding.

Match of the Year
3rd. Darkness vs. Indigo (TCW ENDGAME 2008)
After reclaiming the FWRFed World Heavyweight Championship, Indigo had one more opponent to face: Darkness. He had held the 411fed/ECF unified titles for over a year and been unchallenged. The stakes were high, because Indigo's victory would mean a great loss for Darkness, Stern would surely fire him. The heat behind the match was only increased further by the violent gang war previous to it. It was a back and forth match complete with a hot crowd and dueling chants. Darkness' gameplan early on was to work Indigo's knee to set her up for his signature Darkshooter, a move he has won titles with in the past. He did eventually catch her in the Darkshooter, but Indigo got to the ropes. Failing to force her to submit, Darkness hit her with his tried and true Darkness DDT...a move even the toughest of men have failed to kick out of. And yet, Indigo managed, shocking the crowd as she attempted to force Darkness to submit with his very own Darkshooter! Unable to keep the hold on, however, due to Darkness' previous leg work, Indigo attempted to finish the match once and for all with an Indigo Splash. She failed, unfortunately, and during a subsequent attempt to hit her brainbuster, Darkness hit a second Darkness DDT and ended one of the hottest matches in TCW history.

2nd. Indigo vs. Gabriel Bathory (FWRFed Heatwave 2008)
Going into this match, to say Indigo had home field advantage would be an understatement. The crowd heat was one of the loudest in professional wrestling. Bathory, the current champion at the time, would not be easily beaten. A fast paced, high profile match with both stars breaking out every move in their arsenal with multiple quick near falls. The finishing sequence came when both wrestlers hit their finishers on each other, but each kicked out, neither willing to give out. Feeding off the crowd energy, it took a final Indigo Splash to finish Bathory once and for all and become the new FWRFed World Heavyweight Champion, leading her into her ENDGAME match with Darkness...

1st. The 2008 Road to Glory

The culmination of the FWRFed vs. TCW war, every wrestler had their eyes on victory and a championship shot against the champion of their choosing. Darkness was a favorite going in, having been the victor previously. The match was an all out battle, during which the second Masked Man was revealed as Twisted Brown, son of the original, Acid Jackrabbit. All stars got to make a name for themselves, and it was one of the most highly contested Road to Glory matches to date, with nearly anyone having a legitimate chance at walking away with the victory. It was down to the final two in the end...Darkness, and Indigo, with Indigo outmanuvering Darkness and eliminating him by the skin of her teeth, eventually earning her a shot at both titles.

Rookie of the Year
2nd. Odin King
Odin King's feuding has been good from the get go, building up an undefeated streak early in his career. He's shown good characterization and the ability to adapt to many different types of feuds so far, adding in his own elements and making the experience a fun ride.

1st. Just Chris
Just Chris had an initially rocky start, however has quickly adapted to feuding in FWRFed and has since put on great showings against many of their stars. It will be interesting to see where he goes, as he has the potential to become a star feuder.

Best Side Character
3rd (tied)
Jack Jackson

The color commentator of FWRFed, Jack Jackson made a surprise return to managing recently, managing William Shamrock as well as Chris Chavelle. He seems to have an eye for up and coming talent and will stop at nothing to ensure they succeed, even if it means some dirty dealing backstage. This, along with his heel antics as announcer, have earned him a spot in this list.

Selenia
The wife of Jason Dante has remained a strong woman throughout all of her backstage endeavours with the supernatural, including the Hunter trying to kill her and her baby, and Dante going insane with the Ring, even with Lilith attempting to summon her back to her side. A strong-willed female, she is also well deserving of recognition.

2nd. Valerie Stern

On the surface, Valerie Stern tends to fit the definition of your classic heel authority figure. However, unlike Brent Powers, she doesn't use her authority to boost her ego...behind the scenes, she's desperately trying to keep it all together, with the threat of Congress breathing down her neck. She is a no-nonsense woman determined to keep her company afloat admist the supernatural happenings backstage and the governmental threat from the outside.

1st (tied)
Sam Colt

Despite being a heel and a member of the Corporation, Sam Colt has gained quite a following. With his no BS attitude and intelligence far surpassing that of the Commissioner himself, he's managed to make a name for himself despite not actually being a career wrestler. Being placed in the Reach for the Revolution match, he was unfairly attacked by Daniels but came back at the last minute for one last chance at the title, though losing.

Brent Powers
Ruthless. Angry. Powerful. Those are the words that should come to mind when you think of Commissioner Brent Powers. He has a seemingly unquenchable lust for power and gets off on flexing his authority just because he can. He cares nothing for the fans and will punish or even fire favorites if they make a wrong move. Ironically, it could be said that his attitude has actually gained FWRFed money and ratings...if only because fans tune in hoping to see somebody finally shut his big mouth.

Funniest Feuder
3rd (tied)
Red Barker

While Red can go serious when he wants to, he's quite well versed in the art of comedy. He plays the 'anger cowboy' well and has had a number of humorous feuds, leading him to win both championships in FWRFed.

Rage/Thommy
Taking a different approach to a monster heel, Thommy plays Mohawk, an enormous wrestler who just can't help but get into silly situations with wrestlers like William Shamrock, Gabriel Bathory and even Inferno. Thommy is a skilled veteran at writing, no matter what the subject matter and that has earned him a spot in the Funniest Feuder catagory.

2nd. Bobby
One of the most humorous feuders yet and an EWI veteran, he brings a lot to the table when it comes to comedy feuding. His first character being a 'crazy hobo' that could only speak a single word, his comedy feuding is gold and earned him many victories.

1st. Metal Jesus

He is a long time veteran of feuding and a master of comedy. His unique, colorful style turns the world inside out and plays games with it, ensuring for some absurd...and hilarious moments. Able to take any character...even an orangutan...and turn them into a winner, his funnies are certain to be talked about for years to come.

Most Over Tweener
3rd. Izumi
Izumi doesn't believe in face or heel. While a face in front of the crowd for the most part, she's been known to flirt with the 'dark side'...in her original debut, she managed the monsterous Inferno. Overall, an unpredictable girl who's not always the goody two-shoes she seems to be at first.

2nd. Malaki
Malaki has flirted with both face and heeldom throughout his career. Whether you love him, or you hate him, Malaki always generates a reaction and that's one part of being a major star in FWRFed.

1st. DeSean
A tough worker that takes no crap from anybody, written by one of the more talented feuders in either fed, DeSean has very well earned 1st place in this category. The terms 'face' and 'heel' don't necessarily define him well, as he can be many different things...he can either hate you, or be your best friend, but he never loses his 'edge' either way.

Most Over Heel
3rd. Malaki
Malaki's eventual heel turn also earned him a spot in this category. Staying in the middle for most of his career, his first step into true heeldom was at Bloodbath 08, allowing the Corporation to destroy his opponent Bathory after the match, while he simply watched. One of his most notorious acts was to turn the already heelish Mohawk into an even worse monster, after goading him into crippling him during a match. A truly dastardly heel that is also worthy of recognition.

2nd. Red Barker

The angry, drunk cowboy himself. A reigning Revolution Champion and a very hard-hitting worker, he earned the ire of many FWRFed fans. But his most evil act yet had to be the surprise Blank Check match against Indigo, in which he attacked Indigo and pinned her for the title...and cemented himself by retaining it against her and Odin King at the biggest PPV of the year.

1st (tied).
Mohawk
To think that last year Mohawk was third in the Most Over Babyface category. How things have changed. Malaki and his recent falling out with Indigo have caused this 'friendly giant' to turn into a bitter, raging monster who has no qualms about destroying anybody in his way.

William Shamrock
Shamrock is a nearly unmatched heel, and hasn't changed his attitude at all since first debuting. If anything, his attitude is even worse. His actions are driven by a sense of self-entitlement, now calling himself "The Future" of wrestling.

Most Over Babyface
3rd. Matt Strikmore
Matt has continued to stand out in TCW as what one would call a 'badass normal'. He's not involved with any of the supernatural backstage dealings of Darkness and Co...but that's one of his strengths, and one reason why he's gained a lot of fans...he's an honest-to-God clear cut face who wants nothing more than to wrestle for thousands of fans.

2nd. Darkness
Darkness may be at his peak of popularity in TCW. He continues to rack up victories, and hasn't been pinned ever since he took the championship back. One of the most dominant forces in the history of professional wrestling, he has a plethora of fans that back him in his endeavors.

1st. Indigo
Indigo is a legendary babyface in FWRFed. Being fired while still the FWRFed world champion, and then coming back to win it through impossible odds...her underdog journey is a truely inspirational one that the fans just couldn't help but cheer for.

Most Improved
3rd. DeSean
This category wouldn't be complete without including DeSean. Originally, through no fault of his own he tended to get lost in the shuffle in the NHFC vs. Infinity stable wars back in 2006. But that is in the past, and upon his return he was allowed to break out, having an incredible TV main event with Darkness and, arguably, challenging him more than anyone else had the whole year since Darkness reclaimed the belts. He has continued to maintain this pace, having a second close title match with Darkness and gaining a rare victory against Jason Dante.

2nd (tie). Red Barker
Red Barker is proof that everyone has the potential to become a high profile feuder if they only try. Red stayed in the midcard for a while, building himself up as a Revolution champion...but even after his title loss, he didn't blink. Then, he shocked everyone by using his Blank Check priviledges to win the FWRFed World Championship...as well as defending it against Indigo AND Odin King, eliminating any question of him being a deserving champion. Only time will tell just how good Red Barker will be.

JustChris
JustChris, notable for placing in Rookie of the Year, is also one of the most improved feuders, improving his feuding in record time. As with anyone new to feuding, it can be difficult to accustom oneself to the rules and intricacies of feuding, and he wasn't any exception. However, he overcame his barriers and quickly became a much stronger feuder in the brief time he's been here, making him a deserving candidate for this category.

1st. Kamaria
When Kamaria first joined TCW it took her some time to find her feet. High profile losses to the likes of Darkness and Matt Strikmore knocked her confidence and, for a while, many wondered if she could live up to her early potential. However, Kamaria showed her determination and dogedness, introducing the second character of Izumi with whom she feuded in FWRFed and quickly establishing herself as someone who was here to stay. After maturing in the midcard, she returned to make a name for herself, challenging Indigo for the FWRFed World Title as Inferno, holding her own against Darkness as Izumi and becoming the TCW Aftershock Champion. As Izumi, she recently made history by capturing both the TCW Aftershock and FWRFed Revolution Titles simultaneously, hopefully forever banishing doubts about her abilities and dedication.

Most Popular Feuder
2nd. Lance
Lance is one of the hardest workers of this community. He owns and runs TCW. He is the driving force behind everything in it and is one of the major reasons the legacy of 411fed and ECF lives on. Without his dedication, there would been no TCW. Being a fair and balanced administrator is hard, and it's even harder to please everyone, but Lance does his best.

1st. Thommy/Rage
Thommy no doubt deserves top spot in this award. He is one of the best members of this community, and gives 110% to contribute to it. He runs FWRFed, is a creative member in TCW, and does double duty feuding in each. He feuds at the highest standard and has written more matches for either fed than can be counted. This, with his extreme likability on the forums and his willingness to be a team player with each and everyone one of his opponents, makes him the most popular feuder in TCW/FWRFed.

EWI 20 Wrestler Of The Year
20. Stephen Hawthorne
Hawthorne surprised us all this year by making a sudden return, soon reforming the NHFC with his former stablemates and having what was arguably a show-stealing match with Matt Strikmore. Unfortunately, almost as quickly as he returned, he was put out of action with a backstage attack. Hopefully we will see more of Hawthorne in the future.

19. Plausible Deniability

Also known as Cameron James, he is a 14 year veteran wrestler, and former Infinity stable member who suddenly reappeared in TCW. He is quickly re-making himself in the federation, having earned a championship shot against Darkness. Time will tell if he can win against the man that once destroyed him years ago...

18. Pat WoW

Pat WoW is one of the most experienced vets in the business, he has been around since the days of 411fed. Despite coming and going at random, he always puts on a decent show for the fans whenever he wrestles.

17. Mutaaz Tareef

Another veteran who had a brief stint in FWRFed this year, he has had World Championship matches in the past, and has won championships including the ECF Transcontinental Championship, the ECF E-Championship, and the TCW Unified Tag Team Championship. and his position on this list shows he does indeed have a fanbase, one can only wonder if he will make a more permenant return in the future.

16. Kermit
Mob boss behind the scenes, wrestler in front of the crowd, he is a dangerous foe. He is a former Bleeder champion. In his brief return, he was one of many threats to Darkness' championship reign, but unfortunately, has not been heard from since.

15. Tommy Laughlin
A newcomer to FWRFed, he was revealed to actually be the nephew of the legendary Acid Jackrabbit. He had a good run, temporarily forming a faction with fellow wrestlers Izumi and Odin King, but it was unfortunately dissolved early when Izumi signed with TCW. He had been inactive in competition after losing his last bid for the Revolution title to Red Barker, though made a brief return in FWRFed afterwards.

14. Inferno

One of the most dangerous competitors to ever step foot in a ring, Inferno first made his debut in TCW, winning the Transcontinential championship before dropping it to Matt Strikmore this year. He then switched to FWRFed. He went on a path of destruction for the FWRFed World title, but came up short against Indigo in the Fallout main event.

13. William Shamrock
Last year's Rookie of the Year, he is more than a mere 'rich boy'. He has more than made a name for himself in both federations. He eventually dubbed himself 'The Future' of wrestling and allied himself with Jack Jackson, before being given a shot at Indigo's world title, and may have given Indigo a run for her money had Red Barker not attacked and cashed in his Blank Check that very same night. Feigning injury, he returned at a recent Intensity to get his revenge, and another chance at championship gold may be in his future...

12. Malaki
A former FWRFed World Champion, he is one of the most famous stars in that promotion's history, being a major player in The Underground against the Corporation before turning his back on them and going out on his own. He made it to the final four of the Road to Glory, coming very close to earning a championship shot this year.

11. DeSean

DeSean is one of the most popular wrestlers on the TCW roster. He won and reigned with the Aftershock championship for a good part of the year. Losing it at Endgame didn't slow his momentum, however, it only fueled it. He had a previous close match with the World champion before the event, and nearly defeated Darkness for the title at Enter the Dragon. Rolling on a head of steam, he has recently set his sights on Freya's Bleeder Title...

10. Gabriel Bathory
There are few wrestlers as impressive as Gabriel Bathory. One could even consider him a FWRFed legend. In the past year, he held the FWRFed World Championship for months before finally being dethroned by Indigo, and apparantly retiring...before making a surprise return at Revolution to finish the fight with one of his rivals, Mohawk. It is unknown if he will take another chance at the World Championship in the future, but he would surely make a good candidate for number 1 contender.

9. Crazy Hobo/Woodrow Daniels
The man formerly known as Crazy Hobo has gone through a sort of transformation. Originally dismissed as a comedy character, he surprised all of the doubters by being one of the most dominant Revolution champions in history, and this from a man whose vocabulary was merely the word 'Change'. After being apparantly murdered, in one of the most shocking twists in FWRFed and wrestling history, he confessed to having faked his own death, after regaining his memory via being thrown through a window by Mohawk. He struck down the Commissioner, promising that FWRFed was about to 'change', and has reignited his feud with the current World's champion, Red Barker.

8. (Tied)
Jason Dante
A former World's Champion in TCW, Jason Dante is one of the toughest and most dangerous competitors to ever grace a ring. Nearly everyone that crosses his path falls, and despite a slow start to the year, his momentum has been building up, with a high profile victory over Freya at Endgame 2008 and a red-hot feud against Matt Strikmore.

Freya Green
As the reigning Bleeder Champion, some may argue she is more dangerous than even Darkness. She has fended off challenger after challenger, each potentially after blood...her title could be on the line at any time. The fact that she has managed to hold that belt for over a year demostrates her tenacity as a competitor and willingness to face any challenge.

7. Odin King
A proud American and a FWRFed newcomer, Odin King proved he was more than just a lucky beginner quickly. He went on a string of wins with partners Izumi and Tommy Laughlin in a brief grouping, before the group was disbanded. He found success as a singles star, culminating in earning a championship shot on FWRFed's biggest PPV...Revolution. Though he may have come up short, there is little doubt he will have more opportunities in the future, if he plays his cards right.

6. Izumi
Once merely the manager of Inferno, Izumi is a girl that nobody thought had a chance in hell. Her alliance with Odin and Laughlin in FWRFed helped her to gain some momentum. After a good showing in Road to Glory, she captured both the Aftershock and Revolution championships, cementing her status as a real wrestler and not simply a valet.

5. Matt Strikmore

Once put on the shelf by Drakus, Strikmore made a triumphant return in defeating Inferno for his job...and his Transcontinential championship back. Despite his neck injuries, he's shown to be still just as capable as he was before, defending his title against Stephen Hawthorne in a difficult match. He has since renewed his partnership with DeSean and ignited a firey feud with Jason Dante, and they will fight to the finish at Extreme Measures in a Pure Rules match.

4. Darkness
Darkness is one of the most dominant champions in wrestling history. Since winning the world title at Endgame 2007, he has never lost a singles match, and has been holding the unified championship for over a year. He even managed to defend that very championship against another world champion...Indigo, at the very next year's Endgame. Some people have wondered if Darkness has become unbeatable. Time will tell how much further Darkness can extend his legendary reign...

3. Mohawk
A living Mac Truck would only begin to describe Mohawk. He has been undefeated since his debut, and in the more recent year has become even more vicious, seemingly crushing everyone in FWRFed. He has put people out of action before, and will continue to do so as long as he is unchecked. Can anybody stop Mohawk?

2. Red Barker
'Unbelievable' is one word you could use to describe Red Barker. He was a reigning Revolution champion, a Blank Check winner, and eventually, FWRFed World Champion, cashing in his Blank Check against Indigo in a surprise match that earned him the championship. Some people may have called him a paper champion...not anymore, not after successfully defending the title against both Indigo and Odin King. Red Barker has certainly cemented himself as a FWRFed main eventer.

1. Indigo

One could call this year the 'Year of Indigo', as far as wrestling goes. Being fired and stripped of your championship is one of the worst things that can happen to you, but Indigo never gave up. She fought against incredible odds, she came back from NOTHING, winning Road to Glory, then winning her FWRFed World Championship back and fighting in the Endgame 2008 main event, in one of the most incredible journeys in wrestling history. She has certainly earned the title of 'EWI Wrestler of the Year'.
