1. New Forum Theme - AcidTechBlood
The new default forum theme is the one you're looking at right now. There is an expanded version that will stretch to fit your window, which you can find listed as AcidTechBloodEx in your profile. Hopefully this satisfies those who have wanted a darker theme for some time now.
(Yes, ECFclassic will be back, but it needs to be edited and adapted to the new forum settings first.)

2. TXbucks
For every topic you start, you earn 15 TXbucks. For every topic you reply to, you earn 10 TXbucks (with a bonus if you're replying to your own thread). There will be other ways for you to earn TXbucks as well, which will be announced as they come up.
You can also donate TXbucks to other users if you feel like being a kind soul to your poor friends.
(TXbucks cannot be earned in any hidden forums. And this is obviously not an invitation to spam, but to encourage discussion. But you knew that!)

3. Spend your TXbucks
TXbucks can be spent in the new shops:
The Special Effects Shop will allow you to buy name and user title effects, such as text colour, glow colour, and shadow colour*.
The Bar sells drinks! Every drink you order will increase your intoxication level. Go ahead, have a few and let us know how good you're feeling! You can also buy drinks and food to remove your intoxication level. And if you get waaaaaaaaaay too drunk and need help, let me know, and I'll hold the toilet seat up for you so you can let it all out! (Please do not feud while intoxicated!)

4. Play with your TXbucks
A great alternative to playing with yourself. You can now visit the Casino and play Slots, Chance Ace, Keno, Lucky Dice, and BlackJack! Most games have a 2 TXbuck playing cost. If you blow all your cash, hopefully you have a charitable friend to donate some TXbucks to you!
We'll also be holding the TX Lottery! Each ticket costs 5 TXbucks, and you can buy up to 5 of them. The pot starts at 50 TXbucks and goes up with every ticket purchased. Encourage everyone to play so you can take in the big win! (The first lottery will run for 2 days!)


The Jobs feature is currently inactive, but may become available as I explore its options a bit more.


More features will be added as time goes on, including, hopefully, more shops as they become available. And, of course, there will be bugs and kinks to be worked out, so feel free to send a PM or make a post to let me know! Post there and let me know what you think of the changes too!


*Glow and shadow effects unfortunately only work in Internet Explorer. In Firefox and other browsers, they will be displayed as a background colour instead, with shadow overriding glow (in other words, if you don't use IE, only buy shadow effects). This is a browser issue so unfortunately nothing can be done until other browsers start supporting these text effects. However, everyone using IE will see the effects on your name, even if you're using another browser.

You can now see when someone last visited the site by viewing their profile (click the Profile button below their post, or simply click on their screen name).

When a post is locked, unlocked, moved, or split, you will now see a message at the bottom of the thread, letting you know which mod or admin did so, and when. Something like "Locked: Wed Jan 10, 2007 12:08 am by LSC"
