Does anyone here have a DS/Lite/i?

My mother has a DS, so if you have some question about it I can find out an answer for you probably.

I have a DS Lite. (Screw the DSi, I want to play my GBA games!)

DS Phat and Lite, here.

I know approximately zero things about it, but I was thinking of picking up a used DS Lite. I've seen a few for pretty cheap now that the DSi is out.

From what I can tell, I don't really care about getting a DSi, because I'd rather be able to play more games than, like, warp pictures.

Is there any reason to NOT get a used one? Like, is it going to die on me in a week, or do they tend to last a while?

I have no idea because mine is brand new. My suggestion: Buy from GameStop, I think they have return polices on that sort of thing.

Nothing wrong with buying used. Nintendo hardware is built like a tank.

Well, I bought one. Now I just need to get some games, other than Final Fantasy 3.

I recommend Trauma Center and Phoenix Wright.

I like pretty much anything, there's not much narrowing that can be done. The only games I don't get into much on consoles are shooters, because my aim sucks the high hard one. But that probably wouldn't even be an issue on this thing.

I'm going to obviously pick up the big name Nintendo titles. I think Phantom Hourglass will be the next thing I buy, and New Super Mario Bros is after that. I found someone selling Brainage and Force Unleashed for dirt cheap on Craigslist, so I'm picking those up this weekend.

Other than that, I have no idea what's can't-miss. I haven't played a single DS or GBA title other than FFIII.

Quick recommend would be Professor Layton. I'm also fond of the Advanced Wars series, but I like tactical RPGs.

I didn't know Phantom Hourglass was going to make me speak to it. I felt real cool sitting here alone, saying HEY to a game console.

Don't you though? I've played on the Brain training and that makes you talk to it, although it doesn't understand me, so I ended up sitting there shouting 'blue' at it.

Blue is infamous as not registering right.
