I plan on drinking a bottle of jager to drown out the better than average possibility of drama between people I'll be watching it with. Same people, 5 years running! You'd think I'd make new friends.

We went for it last year and were up till 4 am. This year, methinks bed > mediocre card. Sides, its just 4 hours of me calling Trips 'fatty.'

Boring. Mediocre card? 24 was pretty good. HBK vs. Ric Flair was off the charts.

Re: Who's watching Wrestlemania 25?
I have to go out on a limb here and assume that Rachel Hunter is the same person known as Clobbs aka Clobbosaurus as my failing old person memory seems to indicate this and agree with Clobbs. The first Wrestlemania I watched was Wrestlemaina 7...which is...gulp...18 years ago this year!
Man, people born the year I first saw wrestlemania are getting their driver's permits this year!
ANyway, every year the 'E made it feel significant. This year however it's just a big, huge "MEH!"
- Triple H (C) vs. Randy Orton for the WWE title: I really liked the build up to this, but the match, naw don't care. YAWN!
- Edge vs. John Cena vs. Big Show for the World Heavyweight title: Oh hey, guess how is going to do the JOB in this match? The best Champion the WWE has at the moment, Edge and guess who will win? Mr. YAWN John Cena.
- The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels: Now this one I would like to see. I doubt they will end the streak but, come on...it's Shawn fucking Michaels!
- Money in the Bank: CM Punk vs. Kane vs. Kofi Kingston vs. MVP vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Christian vs. Finlay vs. Mark Henry: Remove, Henry and Cane and insert...anyone with talent and this would be fun.
- Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy: great work, WWE. Brothers are fighting, a family torn asunder and I doubt anyone gives a shit.
- 25-Diva Battle Royal to determine the first ever Miss WrestleMania featuring current WWE Divas and others TBA by WWE: 25 Divas, 50 plastic knockers, 25 people, the majority of which have less wrestling talent then I have...come on WWE, if you want to excite people...start making porn!
- JBL (C) vs. Rey Mysterio for the Intercontinental title: Rey is good, very good. JBL is bad, very bad. And in the world of the WWE bad outweighs good so this will be a yawn fest that Rey hopefully wins.
- Chris Jericho vs. Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka and Ricky Steamboat (with Ric Flair): Jericho is our GOD, our role model and the speaker of truth...sadly the truth is that not even the might of Jericho can elevate this beyond a sad comedy, gimmicky match.
- The Miz and John Morrison vs. Carlito and Primo Colon with both sets of tag team titles on the line: WOW, tag titles on the line and I don't care!
Sorry to be a cynic and a curmudgeon, but WM25 is less exciting the WM9 or root canal work!
The WWE has the players but sadly people like JBL are in the spots they should take up. Turn JBL int a manager or an announcer again and sape us his piss poor matches, please!
Out of all the matches at WM25 I only want to see two of them. HBK vs Undertaker and the MitB match, the rest...meh at best.

Re: Who's watching Wrestlemania 25?
Usually WWE manages to make cards that sound lame on paper good when actually seen. They failed on that venue this time.
HHH couldn't wrestle his way out of a paper bag.

Re: Who's watching Wrestlemania 25?
HHH is a great wrestler, but reading the reports this sounds like it was a shitty 'Mania.

Re: Who's watching Wrestlemania 25?
Yeah, but you can't judge a worker just by the last match he put on, or Shelton Benjamin would be a botching spot-monkey, ReyRey would only participate in squashes and Molly Holly would be someone who takes part in irrelevant battle royals to get over comedy acts. HHH is a very good wrestler but, from what I hear, his match last night was all kinds of pointless. It's possible I have a slightly warped view though, because I don't buy HHH as a face - I haven't seen any build up to this 'Mania whatsoever and, to me, HHH is always the prick heel he does best. I find it hard to get my head around him winning in the main event of 'Mania being some kind of crowd-pleasing babyface victory.

Re: Who's watching Wrestlemania 25?
I caught most of the HHH/Orton match. Seemed ok to me, but not Mania standards. Orton's dropkick counter looked nasty though. Overall, the match could have used more brutality, and I think the belt changing hands if there was a countout hurt the flow. Yeah, it's an Orton thing to do, but didn't seem right for Mania.

Re: Who's watching Wrestlemania 25?
It offended my writer's sensibilities that they'd go to the trouble of having this "the belt can change hands on a count-out or DQ" stipulation and then have the match finish clean. Why bother to introduce that detail if nothing's going to be done with it? Chekhov would have shot himself.

It wasn't clean. HHH smacked Orton with sledgy while the ref was down.

Re: Who's watching Wrestlemania 25?
I'll probably find a torrent of it later, and watch most of the matches. I at least want to see the MITB match.

Re: Who's watching Wrestlemania 25?
I think in this case, it wasn't about cheating. HHH wanted to kill Orton for all the stuff he did to his wife and such. He didn't hit him with sledgy to cheat. He did it cause he really wanted to hit Orton with sledgy.

Re: Who's watching Wrestlemania 25?
Plus you know Orton is going to challenge it tonight saying HHH cheated with the sledge and should relinquish the belt.
