Rob Liefield
Ok confession time, as I have been away from the comics scene for a long time and had only see a few of Liefields drawings I didn't understand what the big hubbub about him being crap was about...
...then I read an issue of Onslaught reborn and ALL, and I mean all doubt died, the guy is a talentless hack. I suck a a artist and I can get better emotions the Liefields emotionless husk of characters, who0 in the name of Lucifer lets this guy ruin the comcis by having him draw the garbage?
Honestly, the guy is the Uwe Boll of comics-

Well, as I understand it, the picture on the left is an unmodified frame from the pen of Rob Liefeld. On the right is a fan's impression of what that picture would mean for his anatomy, in order to demonstrate our friend Rob's lack of skill.

Liefield is known to be horrid at anatomy, as the pic of Cap' shows. The worst part is that the guy knows how to draw one kind of face and puts it on every character he illustrates. Another problem he has is that a character can have two different bodies in two different shots with say the size of tyhe torso changing during the course of a single comic book.
The horrid part is that this guy has and holds a job at one of the biggest comic publisists in the US and has ruined a number of comics with his horrible style.
This is akin to a police only arresting the bystanders or a Fireman being a pyromaniac on the level of horror and being crap at one's work.

Heh heh: These comic book artists of yours are a shady bunch, aren't they?

I love the roughly sketched in left hand that was surely holding a penis in the original.

What amazes me is that a number of comic book related message boards. like Newsarama and CBR, seem to be populated by quite a few strident Liefeld defenders, generally touting the same BS arguments -- "If he's so bad, why do his books sell so well? " and the ever popular "Oh yeah, you haters are just jealous because he's a rich and famous comic superstar and you're a nobody!" Maybe these are the comic fans spawned (pun intended) by the terrible trio of Image: Liefeld, Lee and McFarlane. Just more proof that the superstar creators who led the speculation boom of the '90s have a lot to answer for.

I don't think he still has a job. If I remember right, they brought him in for the 10th anniversary of Onslaught, which he drew (I think.) I don't think he's on any other title.
