Who else is watching the new season? And what do you think of the show's new direction -- the human "insurgency" on New Caprica complete with suicide bombers, the masked human collaborators of the New Caprica Police, Starbuck's captivity at the hands of Leoben the love-lorn Humlon, the declining confidence and expanding waistline of Lee Adama, guilt-ridden Admiral Adama's plan to split up what remains of the fleet, and Cylon Boomer's return as a fleet officer?

The two-hour season premier left me eagerly waiting for more. It was full of great moments and the moral dilemmas that have made "Galactica" a cut above the average sci-fi show. The mini-debate between Tigh and Roslin over the morality of suicide bombing gave me pause. And the seething rage manifested in the Chief's rant about Gaeta collaborating with the Cylons was a sign that if and when the humans escape captivity at the hands of the Cylons, things won't just go back to the status quo.

I was particularly glad to see the return of my favorite Humlons -- Lucy Lawless as the fanatical D'Anna and Dean Stockwell as the cheerful but calculating Cavil. The Cylons' internal debate about how to handle the occupation presented yet another interesting perspective, with the Cavils, D'Annas and Dorals urging more brute force while the two Cylon heroes, Caprica Six and Sharon, try and fail to establish a kinder, gentler Cylon rule.
