In the last few months i've rented a few games by this style of play. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes, TMNT, Hunted or Hunter or Haunted, whatever the hell its called it sucked and Blackstone.
Easy and redundant, one will get bored with them in a real hurry.
Though most of these games can beat Gauntlet Legends hands down, that aint sayin much.


First off, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King starts off rather abruptly as Gandalf being horded by orcs assaulting Helms Deep, by the time you realize its actual gameplay your lifebar will have taken a crushing blow. It is nearly impossible to be killed by an orc as long as you are either defending or attacking, pushovers to say the least. The baddies don't really get stronger or smarter as you pass through the game. The last 2 levels are probably the only ones that will give you any real challenge, yet it is still the best game of the bunch. Being able to pick new combos and attacks with each level up. Yes... and its all downhill from here...


Dungeons and Dragons: Heroes wasn't horrible. You could actually give yourself armor and better weapons a few special attacks you can earn but you get no new combos so you'll be doing plenty o pressing the same button over and over as if it was some kinda marathon.


Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles this is pretty much exactly like the old arcade games. After about 3 levels you can turn it off. You've seen everything. Just another 20 some odd levels more of the same shit. oh well its still cool because its the fucking Ninja Turtles!


Blackstone the graphics wasn't bad and i managed to only play it for 10 minutes before passing out and shelving it perminately. Still its better then this next piece of crap...


Hunter: The Reckoning / Redeemer both suck huge ammounts of ass. Do not waste your time unless you are playing with some fucking whack job that amuses you to no end, cause these 2 games will not.

you won't need to reach the gaming low that is TMNT.

Those are in a whole different platform of gaming.
Besides SSX3 hasn't impressed me.
Rainbow 6 however, best damn game i've played in a looooong time.

as games go.. i can deal with it..

but it is the best snowboarding game ever created.. until the next one..

all it needs is a "realism" mode so you can race down the mountain with your buddy and try not to break your leg..

as a snowboarding game. the last one i really liked was Cool Boarders 2 for the old playstation.

Yeah, a realism mode would be cool. One good wipeout and its game over. Usually just racing down the mountain against a friend is thebest part of snowboarding games.
