Haha, due to a hilarious grass roots campaign, Rage's "Killing In The Name" is now number one in the singles sales charts for Christmas in the UK! It was up again a piece of pop ephemera championed by Simon Cowell's X-Factor (which is just another Whatever Idol variation, for the uninitiated).

Yeah, I read about that. I guess Rage is doing a free concert in the UK in 2010 to thank everyone.

I just went to Youtube to listen to the song as Killing in the name of is a long time favorite of mine, and there are a few supporters of Cowell's loverboy but as they all speak retarded leet-speak and are 12 years old, they get blasted by anyone and everyone.

No, he's a cynical genius who knows exactly how to make money. That's why this is so funny. You have to understand that the X-Factor winner has had a lock on Christmas number 1 for the last five years - it was all set up so that the winner would release a generic ballad just in time for Christmas and therefore get the most coveted no. 1 of the year without even trying. Then it gets played forever, because every year they trot these songs out on all the music channels. It's very clever.

Ok, I never ever thought I'd say this, but I think I may have got enough snow. We had 8 inches on Friday, most of which is still about and is now ice, and it's just started laying another layer. The M25 (major motorway which encircles London) is one massive car park right now, and is effecting every motorway that comes off it.

There cannot be any more snow.
