I too would get the touch if it had over a hundred gigs, oh well, not for a while then. In the mean time, my 30GB video classic version does me well.

If you want 100 gigs, you might just want to get a UMPC and a Cintiq pad, and convert them into a touch screen tablet

I keep going through these phases of wanting a netbook. Sometimes I really want one (like when I visit the inlaws) and sometimes I don't really care. They are cheap enough for me though. I'm just waiting for a few more features be similar to modern systems.

Yeah, I've seen most for around 300 bucks... but then again, you can get a decent refurbished laptop for that price if you're patient.


I finally bought a monitor today. I think Staples is getting rid of some stock; they have an HP and a Samsung lower than usual, and their cheaper brands are on sale. I've been plugged into the TV until now, and it was nice having a 32 inch screen, but the low resolution just couldn't compete.

This stand is a little wobbly though...

I'm pretty sure I have a bird living in my chimney.

That happened to my parents once. We kept hearing this weird noise behind the gas fire and, when we took it off, a bird flew out. It was like the chimney did a magic trick.

For months, I've been hearing this cooing. I figured it was just coming from outside, because I'm used to hearing birds messing around out front. But I just got a new desk and it's much closer to the fireplace now, and the cooing is definitely coming through there. I banged on the metal and it stopped though.

I just hope the thing doesn't come down here! I already found a cricket chirping in my living room, I don't need birds!

Do you have an open fire, or is it closed up? Just let the thing out and it'll head for a window. If you're lucky, it won't even completely wreck your house by shitting on everything and knocking stuff over.

Well, I think it's in near the top... When I banged on the fireplace, it seemed to fly out the chimney that way, so I think I won't have to let it in.
