 I learned a very interesting fact in regards to Flyboy's question. It seems, that when threatened, the people of Wales all gather in one pre-determined location. While they are normally each independent in their day to day lives, when under attack they join into a single collective entity known as "The Welsh". With this new form, they are able to act as a single unit and scare the invaders off with a unique vocal call that utilizes sonic vibrations on the atomic level and something that sounds like a old Viking sea chantey to liquefy any hostile force. However, such a powerful display of unity and might comes with a heavy price, as one of "The Welsh", the one chosen to be the lead vocalist, suffers a severe stroke in the left hemisphere of the brain due to the sheer sonic energy he released. This man/woman is celebrated as a hero after his/her death and is buried in a tomb shaped like a leek on the summit of Snowdon. And thus, thanks to millions of years of evolution, the people of Wales are nearly immune to invasion or attack from any hostile outside force.
