I loved the public transport in England - we don't have it in Idaho - we have buses that run downtown but I don't live downtown. You can't get everywhere, but you can get to so many places and the only thing you have to worry about is finding a bloody seat on the trains...stupid Virgin and their 'reserve a seat'...make me stand from Lancaster to London will you...

I think it's due to the fact that, in Britain, there are tiny little villages everywhere. A bus that only went to the middle of a town would be useless to 99% of the general public.

And for that reason it also takes twice as long to get anywhere  And I saw a bloke who was the splitting image of Tim Bisley (Bisley, not Pegg) on my way home, it was just a bit weird.
