Well to jump it, the other car could just sit beside yours; it'd only be there a minute.
Taking out and putting back in a battery is really simple. You'll just need a wrench to loosen it. Disconnect the negative (should be black and obviously have a -) first, then the positive (should be red and obviously have a +). It should have a handle so you can just pick it up.
Putting it back in, connect the positive first, then the negative.
